It’s Relay Weekend, and time to head to the track to run laps, light luminaries, and enjoy the creativity and company of your fellow relayers.
Fantasy Faire’s campsite was this year created by Ketsui Naidoo, one of the world builders of Isles of Tarrin, and it features the beautiful new FaireChylde, so you can have an impromptu dance party break from doing the laps.
There’s also the full collection of the Days of the Faire banners for sale. This year there were more Fairelands than there were days, so only the first part of the banners were released during the Faire. Now the full collection (including the first part in case you missed them at the Faire) is available at Fantasy Faire’s campsite.
Speaking of having missed things: if there’s still items on your wish list from Her High Faireness’ Treasures Gacha 2021, or the Bopsticks or FFR radio gacha, you can find those on the FaireChylde.
You can see the Relay Weekend’s program at the Relay For Life of Second Life’s website.

When the Fairelands disappear, where do they go? Surely, as is commonly said at the terminus of every Faire, they fade away into the very Mists that spawned them. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
But then, when the Fairelands fade, where do the Mists go? Do they too fade into a more elementary matter? Or do they pack their bags, take an all-expenses paid vacation to Hawaii, and sip Mai Tais by the beach?
As one recently missing Fairelander is about to discover, it’s neither—but also perhaps a bit of both.
The curtains rise on Relay Weekend. A familiar domed palace erupts from beside the track, and from the star portal between the palace’s two wings emerges a purple form.

This year we have a nineteenth Faireland, present only during the Relay Weekend on the track. Come wander the slumbering forests, almost ready for their annual rest within the Mists, come meet other Fairelanders, finalize your Faire shopping, and enjoy the touch of peace the Fairelands always bring — before you’ll head out for another lap on the track.
