Literary Festival Schedule for Sunday May 9th

It’s the final day of the Fire, a last chance for exploring the Fairelands, doing that last bit of shopping and completing the Quest – as well as catching the fabulous Live Auction.

And we have a open mic session in the early morning – as well as two rather special LitFest Tours to round off the Faire.

In the morning, we’ll be having a Company’s Choice Tour. That’s right – members of the Company of Faire Folk will be voting for the region they would most like to visit again – and we’ll post on Sunday morning which that is going to be.

And for our later Tour at 5pm, we’ll be visiting – as is traditional – The Quest Faireland, this year the Seventh Valley.

Full details below!

LitFest Tour Friday 7th May 2021 – 5 pm slt: Ling Xiao Long 灵霄龙

The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims  – as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to ink brush region of Ling Xiao Long 灵霄龙  by Fiona Fei.

Hua Long Dian Jing, is a Chinese proverb meaning “painting a dragon, dotting its eyes.” The proverb comes from a story about an artist who painted a dragon who came to life as soon as the eyes have been dotted. The design of this region brings this proverb to reality, manifesting strokes of ink brush into a 3D world.

LitFest Tour Thursday 6th May 2021 • 5 pm slt: Khol Dracys

The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims  – as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to mighty region of Khol Dracys by Wanders Nowhere.

Rising above a steaming jungle domain, this massive ruined tower was once a central place for Dragons worshipping the Sacred Elements from which they draw their essence. Even in this state of decay, their mighty wings can sometimes be heard as they come in pilgrimage from all the worlds where dragons rule the skies.
