We talk to the Faire organiser Zander Greene, who talks about the project the Faire was fund-raising for this year – the Kenyatta National Hospital Hope Lodge in Nairobi, Kenya – as well as discussing the Fantasy Faire Radio region, The Celestial Plain, and the many events that were staged there.
We also visit Bayounimba and talk to Stevie Basevi, who headed the Roleplay activities at the Faire about the different groups that were involved along with related activities in the region.
Then finally, we talk to Aisling Sinclair, who organised the Quest – The Lair of Lantoris – for the Faire this year, and Thornfast, the region in which it took place.
In addition we take flythroughs of several regions including The Shrine Tree by The Looking Glass.
If you have the time, we’ve prepared a questionnaire about the Literary Festival. It’s divided into parts, and shouldn’t take too long to fill in! And it would help us greatly in our planning for next year.

Another year, and another Faire reaches its end. This year’s has been a rough one behind the scenes in many ways and, while the Unweaver always takes a good crack at knocking us down there were times this year when he seemed to be trying particularly hard. But together, as always, we came through it. Technical issues, surprises and all the usual complications that go with running an event this size came together to try and stop us.
Kilik Lekvoda of Titans and Encaitaron Korobase of Solarium sponsor the Faireland of The Light of Va’loth together. Kilik is the world builder of the region, and shares some of its story with us. They also share their favourite memories, reveal their fantasy forms and Kilik even dances macarena for you!
Bee Dumpling and SolasNaGealai, the creators and owners of Silvan Moon Designs, have sponsored Fantasy Faire for years. They are also behind the beautiful outfits in the DeLuxe HUD of the Fairelands Quest. This year they even taught about creating in mesh in our popular Roleplay Classes! They reminisce about their favourite moments, speak about why they return every year and why being a Fairelander means so much to them.
