A place of beauty and mystery, this is a land that was once grand but has now been lost to the passage of time. Nothing remains untouched by the wild chaos of nature. The shadow of what it once was adds an element of Fae grace and elegance to the shell of a formerly great city. Walk its rose choked avenues, explore its Gothic ruins, and unveil the mystery of its fall to ruin.
Once the center of pharmaceutical greatness, San Mora is now a ruin of its former self. Quarantined at the outbreak of a deadly contagion of its own making, the population was left to survive the best they could. Without law and order the city descended into chaos. The fires have long since burned out, and the city is being reclaimed by a hostile Nature. But all that is silent is not necessarily empty. There are still those who roam among the ruins of San Mora.

Once upon a time there were no Fairelands, no faires, a no stories to be told. It is said that the trickster god Anansi, stole the seeds of creativity from the sky gods, nurturing them into life, giving birth to the fairelands, casting them to the void winds as he flees the wrathful gods.
But such tales are for children aren’t they?
Roll up, roll up for the greatest, the oldest, the most magical show in the Fairelands. Come one, come all, for the Legendary Flying Circus of Anansi has arrived in the Fairelands, Monsieur Anansi’s famous tugboat airship has hauled its procession across time and aether to amaze and entertain you. Come aboard, don’t be afraid now. Come gawp at the exhilarating entertainers, Come stare at our fearful freaks and be dazzled by our daredevils Come aboard the greatest clown tug in existence. Marvel at the wondrous worldlings suspended by threads, under the ever watchful eye of Anansi’s Mechanical mysteries. Ask yourself, are they kidnapped worlds, magically ensnared in Anansi’s circus web? Or is this in fact, the stuff of legends, the source of everything that is, has been, and ever will be “Faireland”, springing from the very seeds of the gods?
The Fairelands have returned to the grid, as they do every year…and oh my, have I been waiting for them! And not just me, no no…all of the Fairefolk past, present and future have been looking out for their home to return.
Opening the 20th of April, a world in a world will be there to explore. And if you thought last year, or the year before etc…that it could not get any better? Wrong, it is once again…better, more amazing, more awesome and exciting.
How do I know? Well I sneaked in and took some secret pics with my hidden camera!
OK. No. That is not true. I am honoured to be one of the official FF Photographers again, and so I got early access to shoot pics and videos before the Fairefolk moved in.
Respect and admiration for the sim builders, the creators, the organisation, the designers, the shopkeepers, the Fairefolk, the Bloggers, the Pawlice, the photographers, the artists, the visitors and everyone who works hard to make the Fantasy Faire a success, for that one big important goal: fundraising for Relay For Life.
Thank you all <3.

A peaceful and beautiful village built into the rolling hills surrounding a small lake. Breathe in warmth, peace, and maybe a little pipe smoke, A place where friendships sprout as readily as the mushrooms beneath leafy green trees.
Since the beginning of time, The Spirit Pool has served as a resting place for weary adventurers and lingering souls that are not quite yet ready to cut their ties to the physical realm. Mermaids and other seafolk use the pool for gatherings and a constant flow of visitors keep it a popular place for trading.
It’s now a month to go before the start of this year’s Fantasy Faire – so if you are looking for ways to fill the time, perhaps you can begin to think who you would like to nominate for the positions of King, Queen and Chancellor of Fantasy Faire!
Last Year’s King – The Goblin King – together with Queen October Daye and their esteemed Chancellor, The Last Unicorn, have laid down the insignia of their high office so we have …
The election of this year’s King, Queen and Chancellor of Fantasy Faire!
When it comes to Fantasy, we all have our favorite characters. Some may be good – Gandalf or Harry Potter, Belle or Menolly. Or maybe we love the dark side – Maleficent or Steerpike. Or maybe we enjoy the conflicted – Jamie Lannister or Mrs Coulter.
Whoever is your favorite, you have a chance to nominate them and perhaps see them crowned as King and Queen of Fantasy Faire at the fabulous Fantasy Faire Ball!
What do I do?
First of all, use the form below to nominate your favorite male and female characters.
THE NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE AT 12 MIDNIGHT AT THE END OF SATURDAY 22nd APRIL.
We will choose the top five male and female characters, and there will be a final vote-off during the Faire itself.
Then the winners will be announced at the April Showers Costume Ball on April 30th.
So who will it be? Corwin or Aragorn? Arya Stark or Nanny Ogg? Tyrion or Frodo? The White Witch or Agatha Heterodyne?
Nominate your favorites today!
But what about your favorite non-human (or human type) characters? Don’t they get a chance too?
Of course they do! There’s an election for Chancellor – and this is for your favorite character who has no elements of human appearance. This means that Ariel (mermaid) and Mr Tumnus (faun) could be King and Queen, but Archimedes (the owl, not the scientist) would be nominated for Chancellor.
So will your Chancellor be Teremaire or Ratty (or Mole, Toad or Badger)? Will it be Reepicheep or Pegasus?
NB Characters should be chosen from works of fantasy which can be written or graphical texts or films, TV or radio shows. We want to be broadly inclusive of genres – thus fairytales, high fantasy, steampunk, urban fantasy, vampire sagas (and others) will all be classified as fantasy.
Please note – last year’s winners, The Goblin King, Queen October Daye and The Last Unicorn, and the winners from 2015, Lord Vetinari, Granny Weatherwax and Greebo the cat, all from the works of Terry Pratchett, are NOT eligible for election this year.
