My last blogpost on this site for this year, I am a bit sad the Faire has ended, but …I am also grateful to have been a part of it. Two weeks of awesomeness, amazing Fairelands and wonderful people. The places, the parties, the adventures, it should be enough to last for a year and look forward to next spring.
The Fairelands are gone, to their mystical place and though I will miss them it is good as it is.
See you next Spring and for now, please enjoy the memories we all made. I’ve made a 4 minute overview of most of The Faire, hope you like it!
‘When your back’s to the wall
When you’re starting to fall
You got something to lean on
Love is everything’
The end-party of the Fantasy Faire, a gathering of all Fairefolk and party-peeps from allover the grid, did not happen this year.
It was not held on The Rose, and certainly not in the pool. 78+ or more people did not dance and there was no fun. Nope. Nothing. Happened.
With the Fantasy Faire 2017 nearing its end, we still have some days/hours to wander around the amazing sims and keep making memories of yet another wonderful event.
One of the things, the many things, I love from being part of the Faire is: you all. The Fairefolk. The elves, the dragons, the tinies, the monsters, the wizards, the humans, the furries, the poets, the builders, the hosts, the performers…..everyone. Without you all, there would be no Fantasy Faire.
I will miss the ongoing 24/7 groupchat, because even though I did not always actively participated in chats, I had the window open and read most of it.
The other night I had time to chat and somehow it ended in an impromptu Gangnam Style party on San Mora, thanks to all who showed up and danced with me!
One of my favourite memories of the Fantasy Faire 2017 was made that night and I have a video to prove it!
I will be around for as long as the Fairelands are here, so no goodbye yet from me, but a ‘see you on the Faire!’
One of the most hilarious traditions on the Fantasy Faire is: the tour with the bus over the Fairelands.
Every year, skilled and certified bus-driver, Alia Baroque welcomes all who dare…err…want, to his bus for a special tour around the Faire. A wonderful way to enjoy the scenery and have a look at all the amazing places from your comfortable seat in the vehicle.
Last night the first tour was scheduled, how fitting: on #worldpenguinday and I was one of the lucky passengers to get a seat!
We departed from The Rose and ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶c̶r̶a̶s̶h̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶, arrived at Dawns Promise for a short break. After that refreshing pause we got to see the wonders of The Hills where Alia The Penguin t̶h̶r̶e̶w̶ ̶u̶s̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶u̶s̶ ̶m̶i̶d̶a̶i̶r̶, let us wander about a bit to have a good look. Amazing sim!
Did you know Raven’s Perch looks absolutely delightful from a 90 degrees view? Recommended!
Unfortunately I was not able to sit out the entire tour d̶u̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶s̶i̶c̶k̶n̶e̶s̶s̶ because of an important meeting and I had to jump off on Chaddul Ro.
If you have time, and see the bus passing by, hop on and do the tour, it is: A Sweet Ride!
Did you know the Fairefolk are actually really hardcore party-peeps? They will not end a day without a party and dancing, and that is why the Faire Chylde is such a great place. Docked at Kakushi Pasu – the home of the Literary Festival – this Dragon borne ship is the heart of the parties.
So, are you in for some dancing and chatting after a day of exploring and shopping on the Fairelands, why not come over and join the fun and meet creators, simbuilders and other Fairefolk?
