Fantasy Faire 2021: Building a World Without Cancer
Celebrating its thirteenth year, Fantasy Faire 2021 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world. From Thursday, April 22 to Sunday May 9, treat yourself to shopping, dance and theater performances, DJ parties, auctions, questing, our Literary Festival, fantasy art, events and roleplaying as thousands of Second Life residents and creators bring their own visions together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.
Our formal programming will conclude on Sunday, May 2nd with our Live Auction, but don’t despair, there is an additional week of shopping, questing, and exploring as the Fairelands will be open through Sunday, May 9th. That’s a total of eighteen days of the Faire – and you never know when something unexpected might happen in that final week!

Every year the Fairelands return to us in new shapes and forms, bringing with them new lands and creatures, mountains and forests, streams and lakes, and such stories that one could spend the whole Faire trying to puzzle them out and still scratch only the surface.
This is the first glimpse into the Fairelands of 2021, descriptions of the lands that will serve as the shopping regions. There will also be other regions for non-shopping entertainment, but those details are still shrouded in the Mists.

It’s time. It’s time to turn our weary eyes from the darkness toward the approaching spring. Toward the approaching Fairelands, the promise of hope and delight.
This year Fantasy Faire will run from Thursday April 22 through Sunday May 9. Following the familiar Faire tradition, the busy event schedule will wrap already on Sunday May 2, leaving the rest of the Faire days free for more relaxed exploration.
The application for sponsors and stores is already open, so whether you’re interested in bringing your creations to the Faire or sponsoring the return of the Fairelands in various shapes or forms, check out and fill the form. Further questions on stores, sponsoring opportunities, donations, and anything that has to do with money should be sent to Elizabeth Tinsley (often online as FantasyFaire Resident). In addition also the performer signup has begun! Dancers, actors, particle performers and various other artists can sign up to perform at Fantasy Faire. We’re looking for fantasy themed shows (~1h in length) that are family friendly and don’t use any copyrighted material without permission to do so. Performer applications accepted until February 21.
