LitFest Tour Thursday May 7th 2020: Queensgarden

The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to the lovely Faireland of Queensgarden, created by Gidgette Adagio.

This is a region steeped in magic, with its own tales to tell. Pathways meander out of existence. There are marshy ponds, high mountains and woodland trails.

It’s also home to the wonderful Fairelands Quest – or at least the second part of the story. So there are secrets here – and people looking for them.

Things to See:

Even if you do not participate in the Fairelands Quest, this is a place to travel slowly.

Look back to the entry. Could you find this path again?

One path leads on to buildings subsiding into the marsh.

In the mountains a wolf howls, while his mate and cub lie safely hidden away.

Hidden Secrets:

Rug on the beach with some books and a drink, but further on is a solitary chair, for a fisherman perhaps?

In the woods is a strange circle, perhaps a grave becoming over-grown?

A frog-fairy prances by a tree.

Play the game to learn the story of this place, or take the pieces and construct your own tale. All are welcome here.

LitFest Information

Usually, tours leave daily at 5:00pm from the Al-Ma’ala Gathering Place on the Drifts of Anamnesis, to explore the Fairelands.

We encourage people who join the Tours to write about the Fairelands we visit. We would love it if you would share your work by submitting your story or poem! All pieces will be posted online with others inspired by this region. You retain creative ownership of works shared.
