LitFest Tour Wednesday May 6th 2020 at 5pm: Cassiopeia

The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to the mysterious and beautiful realm of Cassiopeia, designed by Sweetgwendoline Bailey & Mondi Beaumont.

We live in a world in which time has become something precious. Hectic and haste determine our everyday life and people have forgotten to spend time with beautiful things.

“Cassiopeia – Beyond the Time” is a world in which time is non-representational, in which there is no hectic pace nor haste, and no deadline pressure. A world without complete decay, without illness and death. It’s a land of joy and loving memory and remembrance, a place to pause, where life decelerates and where completely new dimensions arise.

Explore this world, where surreal finds its place and where you meet different beings. Feel invited by “Cassiopeia” and follow her into a land of mystery – to find yourself again.

Things to See:

The central clock lies broken. It serves no purpose here where giant turtles munch on flowers and support entire worlds. Contemplate the Angel of Hope whose body encompasses a galaxy, even as her hands enfold a world.

Hidden Secrets:

One turtle supports four elephants, which in turn support a world on a disk. This idea may seem familiar, but the myth is far older and its origins could lie here outside of time.

Things to Ponder:

The hands that reach upward to support a starry path, what story lies within their grasp?

Are the deep thoughts of the turtles ever heard, and who might wander to this place and hear them?
Who tends the plants on which the turtles browse?
