The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims – as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to the delicately balanced region of Yin Yang by Takuya Jinn.
Through the union of opposites we become whole. Mystical garden.
For this region, we bring you with the beautiful words of builder Takuya Jinn:
What is Yin and Yang?
Darkness and light… fire and water, stillness and motion, night and day. They are opposites but without one, the other cannot exist. Shinrabansho means all things in nature which this universe has created, everything. It is only when the two forces Yin and Yang are in harmony that the natural order is maintained.
Yang is not good and Yin is not evil. The two forces can be thought of as complementary rather than opposing each other. Yang can only be an element when Yin is present. Yin is present whenever Yang is present. They are merely elements that make up the Shinrabansho.
The guardian of this Yin-Yang region is the raging dragon god that emerges from the silence. Night signifies silence. The dragon that emerges from the silence signifies movement.
The shrines are inhabited by gods, lit up with a warm welcome to everyone. To all who visit this town please make them feel Shinrabansho, the interweave between Yin and Yang.
Tours leave daily at 5:00pm from Líng xiāo lóng 灵霄龙, to explore the Fairelands.
We encourage people who join the Tours to write about the Fairelands we visit. We would love it if you would share your work by submitting your story or poem! All pieces will be posted online along with others inspired by this region. You retain creative ownership of works shared.
In addition, some pieces may be recorded (with your permission) by the LitFest team. If you do NOT wish your work broadcast, please let us know on your submission.
