LitFest Tour Saturday 24th April 2021 • 5 pm slt: Wandering Woods

The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims  – as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to the mystical forest region of Wandering Woods created by Kilik Lekvoda.

Saints and warriors, airborne or earthclad, living flame or flowing water, are all welcomed here on their journey into dream. Explore the mysteries of The Wandering Woods, where the Spinner of the Threads of Life gathers all into the eternal spiral of being — ever growing, ever reborn, from brilliance to shadow and back again.

Things to See:

Your first response to this peaceful land might be a long exhale. In these twilit woods, you feel you can unwind and let go of the world’s cares. There is an atmosphere of timelessness, as if everything will unfold in its own way at the perfect pace. You need do nothing except walk the paths, breathe the air, and enjoy the beauty.

Hidden Secrets:

As you walk, you begin to sense there is more here that meets the eye. You might discover you are not alone: Tiny fae flit among the flowers. You become aware of sounds of flowing water and realize there are falls pouring into streams that wind their way to the sea.

You may eventually become aware of deeper presences, guardians perhaps, or helpers. Perhaps you might even glimpse one. The glowing, floating wisp-like balls are spirits of the deceased, tended to by the fairies of the Woods and watched over by the forest goddess. Those who have been lost are not forgotten here.

Things to Ponder:

All is beauty here. This is not a wilderness but instead a carefully tended place of lamps and paths and buildings blended artfully together. Who created this place? With what intention? You might begin to feel that underlying the sense of timeless peace, there is a current of change. What happens in this place? What is possible here? Notice that the borders of this land are fiercely defended!
