The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims – as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to the magic region of Peaville Goes Nuts by Sweetgwendoline Bailey and Mondi Beaumont.
Deeply hidden in the dense forests lies a small, very special kingdom: Peaville! Legend has it that a pea princess once fell from the sky and, after some confusion, met the king of the peanuts who ruled there – they fell in love and from then on they ruled the kingdom together, which holds some wondrous secrets! A special magic lies over this land and the attackers from outside try everything to invade. But—will they succeed?
Things to See:
From the Landing point, a walkway wraps around the huge forest so you can move from one shop to the other and see them all. Peaville is a wonderful shopping region. Look for the scenes along the pathway that tell the Story of Peaville. Begin at the side entrance where an arching tree leads from Paer Thura. Philomena Pea, crown princess of Peachtown is supposed to marry Paco Peach, prince of Pealadelphia.
But she doesn’t love him, so she flees with her dog Pittie Peagle in a hot air balloon. She crashes into a tree in the land of Peaville. The accident is observed by Prosperus Pea, crown Prince of Peaville. He realizes an age-old prediction might now come true: that love between a Pea and a Peanut would one day unfold.
The course of true love never runs smooth. The Peanut People are against having a Pea in their country! So they plan a demonstration and finally an attack against the kingdom.
In the center of Peaville lies a hidden source of energy. Good things like hope, faith, friendship, and love come from there. Be sure to check out the obelisk and its engraving.
Things to ponder:
The little kingdom of Peaville is our “Thank you” to the Fantasy Faire family. It stands for the values of the Faire. In the kingdom, people are the same, no matter how they look, which religion, skin color, abilities or disabilities they have. These values are what we believe to be essential in our world, always, but especially in the strange times we live in.
Tours leave daily at 5:00pm from Líng xiāo lóng 灵霄龙 , to explore the Fairelands.
We encourage people who join the Tours to write about the Fairelands we visit. We would love it if you would share your work by submitting your story or poem! All pieces will be posted online along with others inspired by this region. You retain creative ownership of works shared.
