LitFest Tour Saturday May 2nd 2020: Zodiac

The Company of Faire Folk rides out! Or walks, flies or (consults notes) swims as is your preference. Our Tour today takes us to the magnificent land of Zodiac, created by Alia Baroque.

Walk through the stars in a suave sea of galaxies and study the astral tomes to appease the Guardians in this living Planetarium.

Things to See:

This is a region to watch the skies carefully. Not only does the giant sphere dominate, but energy flows outward from the front and rear of every building.

Hidden Secrets:

This may appear to be a place of quiet relaxation, but when the Fallen God directs visitors to study then lesser mortals should take heed.
Look carefully. There is water flowing down some walls, but is that magical energy that sparkles down others?

Things to Ponder:

What powers the sphere and what purpose might it serve?
What form might the Guardians take?
What penalties might they impose?
Some areas are overgrown. Are the Guardians still in control of these neglected places?

A Special Challenge

Alia has created amazing lands for Fantasy Faire for ten years now, and in Zodiac, you can find references to each of his previous builds. How many can you identify as we explore?

LitFest Information

Usually, tours leave daily at 5:00pm from the Al-Ma’ala Gathering Place on the Drifts of Anamnesis, to explore the Fairelands. But today we will be meeting at 3pm SLT.

We encourage people who join the Tours to write about the Fairelands we visit. We would love it if you would share your work by submitting your story or poem! All pieces will be posted online with others inspired by this region. You retain creative ownership of works shared.

In addition, some pieces may be recorded (with your permission) by Fantasy Faire Radio. If you do NOT wish your work broadcast, please let us know on your submission.

Submit your writing by e-mail to fantasyfaireshortstory@gmail.com
