Andrea Demonge is a long time member of several SL writing communities and dabbles in writing fiction for fun, and non-fiction by day. She also frequently catches herself editing comments of characters that only exist in her head.
Aoife Lorefield is a poet and storyteller who loves to read. Myth, legend, the old ways, magical things––these weave in and out of her tales. An experienced reader in voice and published writer who loves to share.
Beq Janus is, in no particular order, a writer, builder, photographer and videographer from the Steampunk lands of New Babbage. A regular contributor to Prim Perfect magazine, and (when she can make time) videographer for Designing Worlds. She has had the honour of being a World Maker for the Faire for two years and this year created the Arctic Steampunk world of Aurora. Recently she has been exhibiting Metamorphosis, her Escher inspired full sim installation that was recently on show at the Quarry Hill Art gallery in Quarry Hill, New Babbage.
Boudicca has been reading on voice inworld since Christmas 2014. Twice a week for 30 minutes at the Cat & Mouse pub in Hestium. (Hestium is her plot that is open to all and run as PG). Boudicca has always enjoyed reading ….and read aloud to all of her children – and anyone else that cared to sit in and listen. So reading in SL was a natural continuation for her. She usually reads from books written by British/UK authors as she is Brit, London born and bred, and thinks attempting anything more than a passable UK dialect would be laughable for her listeners.
Caledonia Skytower has been part of the core staff at Seanchai Library for over six years, presenting everything from children’s classic and Newbery Medal books, to literary classics and contemporary fiction. She strives for titles that appeal to a wide range of interests, and perhaps challenges them just a little.
Cata reads at 6am on Monday mornings at Seanchai Library and Saturday mornings at Philomena Library. He tries to promote reading books and would love to become in both worlds – SL and real life – a librarian or an English teacher for people who study English like a second language.
Lori Holuta is a writer, editor, book and music reviewer and webmistress. In her spare time she holds a full time job at an overly-large institution of higher learning. She is not a professor and will not help you with your homework. She also crochets conceptual pieces of artwork, cooks to relieve stress, grows her own herbal teas, has a vegetable garden and knows how to count to eleven on her fingertips. She is under the mind-control of a Russian Blue cat named Chives, who knows English and can fetch.
Ceejay Writer is Lori’s pseudonym in the virtual reality of Second Life. Ceejay is the author of articles written for the Prim Perfect and Primgraph magazines. She is a resident of a virtual world. She’s built and barista-d a Victorian Steampunk coffee house called the CocoaJava Cafe, created a coffeepot shaped Prohibition Era jazz club called the Java Jive, danced burlesque and knows how to pilot an ironclad ship. She currently is living as a marooned pirate on a tropical island where she’s built the grid’s first and possibly only library for pirates, the Mary Read Stealing, er I mean Lending Library. She has a digital Siamese cat and a scripted talking parrot.
Dubhna Rhiadra is a wild woman of the woods, a storyteller, a dancer,or a pixie.
Linda Antonsson (Freyja Nemeth in SL) and her partner Elio M. García (Ran Garrigus in SL) collaborated with George R.R. Martin on ‘The World of Ice and Fire’, a book about the history, culture and geography of the world of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ (and ‘Game of Thrones’). They know there are a lot of fans of the books and the TV show in Second Life who would be interested in reading a section from the book and taking some questions about the book, their collaboration with GRRM and related topics.
Long-time resident of SL and the Steamlands, incessant volunteer for things, actor, organiser, roleplayer, writer of poetry and prose, proficient procrastinator, and not very good at describing herself.
Writer, machinima creator, photographer of real life landscapes.
Red pursues writing poetry/stories, photography and community work in Second Life. She hosts Talk! with Marie, a live show about non-profits, books, music and current events. The show increases awareness about a range of social topics from violence against women to health. Some segments are serious, others lighter and fun. At the core of her creative work is to connect people and build community.
Saffia Widdershins is an avid reader – and writer – of fantasy. She has also run online interactive writing games (play by emails or pbems) as well as acting as gamesmaster for tabletop games (the diceless Amber system, based on the novels of Roger Zelazny, is her favourite). In Second Life she is known for editing Prim Perfect magazine, writing, producing and presenting Designing Worlds, directing The Blackened Mirror – and generally trying to have a finger in more pies than she actually has fingers!
Tara loves art and buys it as much as she can. She thinks what started her on a path of appreciating art at a very young age of probably 3 is the artworks in a fairy tale book of Mother goose. The artwork of the characters explained in words so brought her into the stories and she loved that. She wanted to see more pictures (i.e. paintings and illustrations)
At the time she didn’t conceptualize that the writing inspired the artists to create these wonderful works. But she knew they inspired her to want to hear more stories and see the pictures with them.
