Daily Recap: Wednesday, April 28th

Wednesday featured two sessions of Fantasy Faire Film Festival. A Loki Eliot Retrospective showcased a selection of his films, ranging from New Babbage to his Fairelands all the way from Echtra to the Spirit Valley of Kuruk. STÖMOL by Huckleberry Hax was a full feature-length sci-fi machinima filmed in Second Life. The Film Festival is a new addition to the Faire and there’s still several sessions to go!

Speaking of ‘to go’, it is now Thursday morning. Fantasy Faire will be open through May 9th, but the official busy event schedule wraps up this weekend with the traditional Live Auction on Sunday, May 2nd, starting at 2 PM SLT in Paer Thura. From Monday onwards things are much more relaxed, although at least the LitFest Region Tours and tabletop gaming will continue entertaining you. This also means you will have a whole quieter week to complete the Fairelands Quest, to shop and explore, so catch some of those fleeting events while you still can!

Like, say, a jail & bail today! It’s the most shocking event of the day: arrest of Teager of Teegle, or as the Pawlice says, “the horsie people”. Teager, Ketsui Naidoo and Monstaar are the world builders of the Faireland of Isles of Tarrin, and now Teager is going to be imprisoned on the very island she had a paw in constructing! What could she possibly have done? Confiscated a waffle factory? Find out 1-3 PM SLT on the Isles of Tarrin! Oh, and help bail her out, of course. We meant to say that. The main thing, surely! All the bails go straight to RFL kiosk, and not at all refunding the above mentioned waffle factory.

As a completely new event to the Fairelands, today we have also The Ancient Order of Centaurs holding a Riverside Market in the Wandering Woods at 11 AM. Trading takes place via the Unity Empires system and roleplay, come watch or take part as you like.

There’s also plenty of parties, tabletop games, roleplay, meet and greet, dance performances, film festival, busy Literary Festival schedule and a LitFest Region Tour to J’adoube.
