Natalie Montagne, the owner and curator of The Lost Unicorn Gallery, sponsors the Fairelands’ Art Galleries. She shares exciting news of the Gallery’s expansion, their latest exhibitions, and also of her Faire plans for this year.
How many years have you been sponsoring Fantasy Faire? What makes you return and do it allover again? Are you involved in Fantasy Faire in some other ways?
I’ve sponsored and participated in the Faire the past 4 years, since 2016. Fantasy Faire is so special to me because it has so much to offer and there’s something for everyone! Being the fantasy lover that I am, Faire fulfills this to the max as it is definitely a fantasy lover’s dream. Most of all, I participate year after year because I love how everyone works as a team for one main cause, to rid this world of cancer! This year is the perfect year to really focus on this even more with the world situation as it is now and I think it will bring even more Fairelanders home.
Tell us news from the The Lost Unicorn Gallery, what have you been up to?
The gallery has been very busy the past year. Going on now and until April 30 is an exhibit of artist Gossamerstar’s original artwork. We’ve had 9 artist exhibitions through the year, including our yearly Christmas Extravaganza where we display all our in house artists’ original Christmas and winter artwork. This year everyone submitted pictures with animals as the theme. We raised funds for an animal advocacy organization called Friends of Animals. We also participated in the Enchantment event every 3 months by setting up their themed gallery for each event and sponsoring the Photo Contests for each round. The year was a lot of fun and definitely kept me busy! As a side note, we opened a new sim in March called Finian’s Dream which is a Celtic/Irish themed sim and has done very well. So we now have the gallery, Lost Unicorn Forest Sanctuary and Finian’s Dream under the Lost Unicorn umbrella.
The gallery has a store again this year at the Faire situated on the beautiful Lunafae sim! Be sure to stop by and purchase a piece of artwork as every sale goes to Relay for Life 🙂
What do you plan to do this Faire? What are your favourite things to do, the ones you wouldn’t miss out on no matter what?
I plan to shop, shop, shop at Faire and of course explore the sims. I’m usually limited on time, but am going to try and take in some shows and maybe go to a Litfest reading or event. My absolute favorite thing to do is journey through all the sims and take in all the amazing creativity 🙂
Thank you, Natalie, for taking the time to chat with us. Thank you for sponsoring the return of the Fairelands and bringing fantasy art to the Faire.
