At 5pm SLT today, Friday 8th November, the Company of Faire Folk are invited to meet at Little Trollhaugen as a launching pad.

From there we will ride out (or walk) and explore The Looking Glass, the home of the Worldmakers, Sharni Azalee and Marcus Inkpen.

If there’s sufficient demand, the Faire Folk will ride out again at 2pm on Sunday 10th November.

There are some amazing locations to explore here, including a fantastic hidden city (which made a recent appearance on the Designing Worlds’ Halloween Tale), a beautiful ballroom, an ampitheatre, a soectaular viewing bridge, a head shop, an art gallery and even a sushi restaurant.

The locations are beautiful and some of them are reminiscent of the stunning lands that Marcus and Sharni have created for Fantasy Faire (and other events) over the years. Will you be able to spot all the links?

The next year – 2010 – Marcus and Sharni created a Faireland together for the first time – a Faireland called called Sector Scifi which evolved into Hands of Eywa for the main RFL that year.

Thereafter, they have created stunning (and very different) regions each year:

Sharni says: “Our process really hasn’t changed; we discuss prior to the Faire what our vision will be, brainstorm that a bit and come up with a colour pallet. We then retreat to our own creative bubbles, Marcus doing the architecture and me the “pimp n bling”. We usually bring it all together the day we load in on the Fairelands; we trust in our connection to bring the two halves together,  or plain luck and hair ripping moments, you choose!”

So do join us on Friday 8th (today) or Sunday 10th for a very special LitFest Tour!
