The Bubo Owls Roleplay Finale: The Djinn Restored

Friday begun the last weekend of the event schedule with a breathtaking pace. In Tensor’s Flying Market the Bubo Owls’ roleplay finale created connection to the past Faires as the children saw and heard encouragement and updates from all the groups of children of the Fairelands: Rickety Weasels of Wiggenstead Mooring, Mouse Guardians of Poppetsborough, Children of Echtra, Lilypods of Mudrana and Magpies of the Bazaar Dungeon.

As for what the Bubo Owls wished, that came through with the help of the Fairelanders: they raised over 366,000 linden dollars this year to make a difference in the world beyond Fairelands, to help heal children everywhere.

Elizabeth Bear returned to the Literary Festival to read from her latest works. She read extracts from her two latest novels; one just published (Ancestral Night) and one coming out in May. Her most recent novel, The Red-Stained Wings (The Lotus Kingdoms Book 2) will be released on May 28, 2019. The Hugo, Sturgeon, Locus, and Campbell Award winning author delighted the Fairelanders, and seemed to be enjoying her visit to the Fairelands.

Afternoon turned golden as the Event Commonly Known as the Jail & Bail of Alia Baroque started. The fate of the city in the Faireland of Midas was at stake, for gold hungry Midas had awakened and wished to turn the whole city gold. Ishtar, the Goddess of the Gardens and the mother of the newly appeared sprites, opposed this plan. The decision was left up to the Fairelanders, for Alia Baroque had sworn to follow the guidance of the gods.

Both deities had their own shrines with RFL kiosks that offered exclusive skins that would show your colours and allegiance. After a fierce battle of wills it was Ishtar who won, and with her triumph, the gardens of the city were safe: still green and growing, not turned to gold. By the time the shrines vanished the next morning, the Fairelanders had offered over 255,000 linden dollars to the gods to fund the growth we wish to see.

Saturday has brought in the news everyone has been waiting for: The Fairelands Quest: The Lair of Lantoris is finally live! Chapter I where you will have to visit all the Fairelands can be played by purchasing the Quest HUD at any landing point, for example here in Fairelands Junction. Chapter 2 is not out yet, and since that will take place completely in the Faireland of Thornfast, there will be extra time granted for that region.

Silent Auction ends today at 5 PM SLT! Make sure you’re in Genesia before that for that final battle of the bids!

After you’ve won your shinies, don your mask and enjoy the Fairelanders’ Masked Ball 6 – 9 PM. It’s also in Genesia, so no need to move! Could even come to the Silent Auction in a mask to be ready!

There will also be dance performances, roleplay, tabletop games, writing challenges, live singer Miss Longtail, the last roleplay class and parties, parties, parties! The Region Tour will travel to Midas today.
