The second Saturday of the Faire is always amazingly busy as the Fairelands provide all the entertainment they possibly can before the official program ends. Good thing we have an amazing medic team ready to help paw-blistered busy critters all over: nothing that duct tape, bubblewrap and lollis don’t fix!
This year all the money donated under Fantasy Faire’s name will go toward building Hope Hostel in Nairobi, Kenya. In a mirror of this project, Fairelanders also built a Fairelands Hope Lodge in Ardessa. The Hope Lodge was invisible, but as the Fairelanders donated toward the Hope Hostel in Nairobi, it became visible, one piece at a time, until there was a visible reminder of what we are working for.
The Silent Auction also closed with a phenomenal total of 325,000 linden dollars, leaving many Fairelanders with newly-gained one-of-a-kind treasures! Amazing job, Fairelanders!
We also held our traditional annual April Showers Ball on Saturday, with Her High Faireness Elizabeth Tinsley as the DJ! …or if you insist, DJ Tin Tinz.
The Pawlice took their security duties very seriously and after a while decided to drop a cage over her, just in case. Perfectly safe in a cage, can’t fault that logic! Then they posted a warrant. Because that’s what they do, very efficient albeit sometimes somewhat chaotic tiny sheriffs.
Fairelanders raised together an amazing 200,000 linden dollars to remove this extra security measure and allow Her High Faireness to have her dance with Zander. It was a ball, after all.
Today is the last official day of the programmed events. It always feels surreal, and like we just opened yesterday, but there it is: the last scheduled Faire day.
Before there’s any despair though, please remember that the Fairelands will stay open until May 7 for exploration, shopping and the Fairelands Quest. …and who knows, some completely un-scheduled surprise events might pop up!
But as for today, there is still a busy, busy schedule! It begins with an encore of Much Ado About Nothing 9 AM SLT at The Story Well: prepare yourself for having “Hey Nonny Nonny!” stuck in your head for the rest of the day!
At 11 AM there will be another jail & bail: this time the Fairelands Watch has caught the repeated pawfenders Clover Dezno and Druscilla Ferraris. Apparently there’s lunch boxes going missing allover and the cookie crumb trail has lead the Pawlice in a well-expected direction! Come see the trial, come eat waffles, come dance with the tinies in Tiny Town!
The anticipated Live Auction will be today! You know the one, the auction where pieces of the Fairelands are auctioned off, sometime even whole Fairelands! If you loved the Fairelands this year so much that you wish you could take a piece of them home with you, make sure you’re in The Story Well 2 – 4 PM SLT!
We will wrap up the day with a four-hour party of disco, fireworks and a sparkle of 80s magic at Xanadu! – a special roller party to celebrate the Faire 2018 Season Finale. Silliness and good times guaranteed! Prominent penguins possible! Come join us 6 – 8 PM SLT in The Story Well! Additional party places will be prepared for when the Well fills up.
Not enough for you? We also have earlier DJ parties and plenty of Tabletop Games for today! Check out the what – where – when details of times and slurls here!
Fantasy Faire has relayed L$8,987,471 by the end of the ninth day of the Faire. Keep up the fantastic work, Fairelanders!
