The Enchantment of Entertainment

For three years now Fantasy Faire has included a Faireland dedicated to Arts and Entertainment. This is the place where the dance and particle performances take place, where art galleries are situated, where we host those parties too big to fit on the deck of our beloved party ship, The FaireChylde.

It all begun in 2014 when Haveit Neox set his marvelous art installation around the Palace of Tears, which was our hunt Faireland of the year. At the same time we gathered our first art gallery and placed the paintings on the walls of the Palace. The combination was so brilliant and pleased Her High Faireness so much that for 2015 Haveit Neox was invited to shape a whole world for this purpose.

After that we have seen Poseidon’s Abyss, Sapphire Mirror Lake and now this year, Opal Flight, grow to be a part of the Fairelands, always fitting in perfectly in the chain of worlds, offering an amazing exploration experience and providing wonderfully inspiring setting for the performances.

Each of these worlds created by Haveit Neox — and in growing amounts also Lilia Artis, who was mainly responsible for this year’s world and its story — changes in time, keeps growing through the Faire, ending in an amazing visual finale by the conclusion of the Faire. We could not hope for a better setting for the magic woven on stage.

This year we had 13 groups of performers and a busy entertainment schedule throughout the Faire. Some of them had only one show, some kept going almost daily throughout the Faire, but all of them added to the magic of the Fairelands. The amount of hours put into choreography, settings and practice is mindblowing, and it also showed. If you missed any of their shows, I hope you’ll go and find them in-world and catch one of their shows outside the Faire!

We want to thank the performers for adding their own enchantments to the magic of the Fairelands, thank them for being one with the Faire-Spirit and working together for a common goal. We want to thank Aelva for coordinating the performers, producing both her own show and the Faireland Players Much Ado About Nothing, bringing in new groups and working around the clock to make sure the Faire Folk would have only the best of shows. And we want to thank Haveit Neox and Lilia Artis for having embraced the Fairelands and shaping their own stories to life within them.
