Daily Recap: Thursday

Thursday is traditionally a chaotic day in the Fairelands, and this Thursday was no exception! At this point the Fairelands have been in our reality for a week and their influence has swept away any norms or behaviour patterns from outside the Fairelands: only the happy Faire Folk remain.

A perfect example of this was a sudden gathering of dinkies and tinies in The Golden Delta. This pawtastic party threatened the very sanity of onlookers by its cuteness! The cleoCATras promised to twerk for a fee of 20,000 lindens in the RFL kiosk and the crowd happily paid that and more! Surely you can’t find entertainment this fantastic anywhere else!

In somewhat calmer tones, the Literary Festival held the Poetry Prompt and Poetry Surf (open mic), a reading about Conan by Shandon Loring and traveled to Bright Haven and Breeze on their Region Tours.

The stage in Sapphire Mirror Lake filled with three performances: Sky Fire’s particle performance “Lucid Dreaming”, TherpsiCorps’ “Seuss-a-licious” and The Monarchs’ “Adventures from the Lost Island”.

The roleplay stories are beginning to take a turn toward conclusion. In Serenity the NeoVictorians Crom Dubh released the Sidhe’s soul from its mechanical shell and the City came together in a celebration DJed by Gabrielle Riel. In Twilight Illusion the Great Alliance’s Captain of the Guard shut down the festivities in order to get to the bottom of the Dark Prince’s plot.

On FaireChylde we had four DJs rocking the dragon boat: DJ Kenshin, DJ ColeMarie, DJ AineMari and DJ Gabrielle Riel, and also DJ Gerrard Winstanley who DJed our main event of the day: Lady Dee and Lord Patch Linden Jailed!

That’s right, the Tiny Sheriffs Association captured Lindens! Apparently the charge had something to do with planning to make Sansar a waffle-free zone: which to our dismay does not mean free waffles. Lady Dee and Lord Patch Linden were put behind bars in Serenity and various Moles and Lindens appeared to see their fate and to try and free them.

[13:29] Governor Linden entered the region (389.80 m).
[13:29] Jessica Lyon: Gah!!! It’s da Gov!
[13:29] Governor Linden: LET MY PEOPLE GO!

The Lindens tried several methods of getting themselves free: there were bear bribes, promises of friend list, meetings with them, even visiting an unknown sim with them! To help them gain their freedom there was plenty of generous matching of paid bails, altogether reaching the stunning sum of 263,562 lindens in the RFL kiosk!

(Lindens, as in the currency. Not Lindens as the people. Just two Lindens in jail! Many more lindens in the kiosk!)

Friday zooms in to begin the weekend celebrities and there is no sign of slowing down in the Fairelands!

The one event you do not want to miss today is the Jailing of Alia Baroque, the creator of Fallen Gods Inc. and the world builder of The Golden Delta. As always, he will offer exclusive skins in the RFL kiosks as the Faire Folk gets to choose his fate by picking which kiosk to pay. I have heard from a good authority that this is the capture that the Tiny Sheriffs await the most for apparently his list of offenses is so long that it makes the Silmarillion seem positively zippy! Alia Baroque will be jailed in The Golden Delta 1-3 PM, come witness his fate!

In somewhat calmer vein the Literary Festival holds Poetry Prompt with Lesley Writer 11AM-12PM, a reading by Boudicca 1-1:45 PM, The Short Story Discussion Group with Destry Recreant 3-4 PM, Lyrical Cafe Poetry Club (readings and open mic) with Kamille Kamala 7-8 PM and Region Tours to Breeze and Tinkers Hollow. All the Literary Festival events will take place in the Pavillion in OtherWorld, even the Region Tours gather there before venturing forth.

In Sapphire Mirror Lake we have five performances: The ChangHigh Sisters “Fantasy Fire Show” 11-12 AM, The Night Theater “Fairytales Told” 1-2 PM, The Avilion MerBallet 3-4 PM, The Misfits “The Rest of the Story” 5-6 PM and The Monarchs’ “Adventures from the Lost Island” 8-9 PM.

All four of our roleplay groups have events today! Sanctuary roleplayers have returned safely from hell and continue figuring out what is the next step on their journey in Dangarnon 2-3 PM. In Echtra the children attempt to reach out to the Princess trapped in stone 3-4:30 PM. In Twilight Illusion the revelations continue in the Great Alliance’s Suitors for the Queen storyline 5-6 PM and in Serenity the NeoVictorians return home, closing the portal between the dimensions 6-9 PM.

On FaireChylde the parties feature DJ Madonna Daehlie 11AM-1PM, DJ AineMari Flanagan 3-5 PM, DJ Nyza Stillwater 5-7 PM and DJ Bard Wasp 7-9 PM, and in addition DJ Zander Greene will DJ the Jailing of Alia Baroque!

Check either Calendar of Events or Faire Happenings for daily event details!

Fantasy Faire has relayed L$ 4,467,997 lindens by the end of the eighth day of the Faire. Keep up the fantastic work, Faire Folk!
