Daily Recap: Sunday

Fantasy Faire 2015 - Odyssey - I

Sunday in the Fairelands was busy as the weekend offered an astonishing range of events for the Faire Folk to enjoy. Worlds were constantly too full to accept more guests, even as they were temporarily set larger.

Our second jail & bail drew out a cry of outrage from the Faire Folk as the Tiny Sheriffs Association had imprisoned a sweet petite fairy in a fish tank with a lobster! The profound wrongness of this deed resulted in the bail of over 70,000 lindens raised in the RFL kiosk to free the innocent fae from the confines of the tank.

In the Literary Festival we had Freyja Nemeth discussing her book “The World of Ice and Fire”, Meet the Author with Ceejay Writer, a session of Self-expression & Healing through Poetry & Stories, Collaborative fiction game with Taralyn Gravois and Tall Tales and Outright Lies by the Scoundrel Fleet’s pirates!

The fantastic dance performances in Poseidon’s Abyss continued with “Fantasme” by The Night Theater and “RFL Butterfly Strong” by JenzZa Misfit.

In our busy roleplay events the Spires of Andolys hosted the Sanctuary Amazons offering their insight on Lut’s deeds and in Poppetsborough the Rickety Weasels celebrated the Mouse Day by telling various stories about the Guardian Mouse and how each of the Weasels found their way into Poppetsborough.

In the Relay Rap event the Voice of Relay, Trader1 Whiplash, suggested that the highest donor would get to take Stingray Raymaker on a Fantasy Faire makeover and dress him as they pleased from any Faire RFL vendor. This resulted into a bidding war between Jaimy Hancroft and Rynn Verwood, who was ultimately victorious to the result of Stingray spending the rest of the Faire as an extremely fashionable dinkie cat of female persuasion and revered age. Due to the bidding war the whole of Relay Rap produced 110,000 lindens to RFL. Now that’s fashion for a good cause!

Following up was Trader1 Whiplash’s DJ set, during which the Tiny Sheriffs Association struck again and the impromptu imprisonment of Trader resulted into a 30,000 linden bail in the RFL kiosk!

Today we have three events in the Literary Festival: Outlander dressing-up and discussion at 10am-12pm, Aoife Lorefield reading from her own work at 12pm-2pm and an Open Mic session at 2-3pm. All the Literary Festival events take place in Sylvan of Spells.

Roleplay-wise we have two events: the Rickety Weasels are searching for the next Well of Inspiration in Poppetsborough at 3-5pm and the Sanctuary’s Hellhounds are on patrol today in the Spires of Andolys 5-6pm.

As for the dance and particle performances, there’s “RFL Butterfly Strong” by JenzZa Misfit at 4:30-5pm and “Fantasme” by The Night Theater at 7-8pm in the Poseidon’s Abyss. There’s also a special light particle show by ColeMarie Soleil, taking place in Ichi-go Ichi-e at 5-7pm.

In addition we have DJs Fizban Underwood (3-5pm) and Catalina Staheli (7-9pm) in Fantasy Faire Radio. Remember to turn your music on when visiting the Fairelands!
