Daily Recap: Saturday

Medhir Woods by Wildstar BeaumontSaturday brought us hectic times as the last weekend of the Faire always does when we all suddenly wake up to the realization it’s soon over and rush around to try to see it all, experience it all before it’s gone for a year.

There were two Jail and Bails in the Fairelands: first a cruel imprisonment of an absolutely innocent little petite called Yuna Yuadl, whom the Faire Folk bailed free as fast as they could because surely no creature as cute as her could have committed any crime on any plane ever! The second imprisonment was the Phoenix Firestorm Project’s Jessica Lyon, fittingly captured in a cage held by a phoenix, flames licking higher and higher from below until she promised a new Firestorm release for her own release!

We also witnessed a sight that had never been seen before: the Chief Commander of the Tiny Pawlice, Xavian Starsider, issued an official apology to Judy Chestnut of Dwarfins! More about this shocking turn of events soon.

Silent Auction closed in a fierce bidding war for the exclusive shinies, mouse-hands and fingers are certainly cramped today. Thank you to every bidder and congratulations to all the winners!

Sunday, our last official Faire day is here. We have one last Jail and Bail event for your entertainment: GraceSWF Wrigglesworth of Safe Waters Foundation has been captured, come bail the mermaid free and safely back to the water! The event is held in Wiggenstead Mooring 10AM-12PM SLT today.

The parties continue aboard the FaireChylde as you are all already used to, but starting from 4 PM SLT onwards we will be having our traditional Live Auction. It takes place in the courtyard of The Palace of Tears and lasts two hours. As always, the Live Auction is your one chance to go home with a piece of the Fairelands. This year we are offering up for bidding for example: the full build for Blackwater Glenn, Mourningvale Thicket, The Faery Court, Hope’s Horizon and Wiggenstead Mooring. There’s separate part offerings as well, like the Fish Gates and the Memorial Garden of Heavenslough, the Gazebo from Medhir Woods, the Shiva Jail from Asperatus, the Wizard’s Tower from The Palace of Tears, the Phoenix Jail and even The FaireChylde so you can keep on partying on the dragonship all around the year!

After the Live Auction there will be our traditional Closing Party taking place in the same place, come join us in saying goodbye to the Fairelands for one more year!

Thanks to the Faire Folk’s generosity at bailing out Yuna, Her High Faireness (a friend of all petite-kind), has decreed that the portals will not be closed and that the Faire Folk is welcome to visit the Fairelands until they fade out naturally with the vanishing magic. That’s right, people, the Faire is still open tomorrow! The merchants are advised to pick up no-copy items for obvious reasons, and there is no scheduled entertainment events on Monday, but the Fairelands are open as long as they manage to hold onto the grid.

This means that if you are in the middle of the hunt: make sure to finish the first part as soon as possible. The second part happens completely in The Palace of Tears, which will stay on the grid until May 18th so you can all figure out puzzles for a week longer.

It’s almost time for goodbyes, Faire Folk, but not quite yet. We won’t go down without a dance! Come and join us!

The Fantasy Faire 2014 is made possible by the generous support of our Sim and Event Sponsors: Cerridwen’s Cauldron, Creators of Fantasy, Curious Kitties, Dark Goddess Designs, Death Row Designs, Dwarfins, Epic, {Fae’d} Club, Fallen Gods Inc., The Looking Glass, L’Uomo, .Luminary., Neo Victoria, Roawenwood, Safe Waters Foundation, Sanctuary RP Community, Solarium, Spyralle and Tiny Inc.
